Eulipotyphla, meaning truly lacking blind gut, sometimes called true insectivores, is an order of mammals comprising the families Erinaceidae (hedgehogs and gymnures), Solenodontidae (solenodons), Talpidae (moles, shrew-like moles and desmans), and Soricidae (true shrews).
