Fox Squirrel

Sciurus niger

The fox squirrel is the largest species of tree squirrel in the US. There are three distinct geographical morphs in coloration. They are known for their brownish-orange underside or in eastern regions, their strikingly-patterned dark brown and black squirrels with white bands on the face and tail.
